As part of the Newry 850 celebrations, in 1994, the first Wee Binnian walking festival took place. Every year since, on the second weekend in September, the club has run this very successful event. Throughout the weekend, we offer a variety of graded walks, led by trained & experienced leaders. On Saturday night there is the legendary Blister Boogie, the social highlight of the weekend including dinner and dancing.
This year’s Wee Binnian Walking Festival will be held from Friday 11 Sep – Sunday 13 Sep 2026, based in Warrenpoint Co Down.
